Identity Verification and Watchlist Screening

Multi ProductMixedAvailability: Standalone and Bundled

Jumio currently supplies document and identity verification, selfie and liveness checks, authentication, age verification, and related risk signals. Its watchlist capability adds sanctions, PEP, and ongoing screening either to an identity flow or as a standalone person-data check.

The AML screening layer is not wholly Jumio-owned. Current technical documentation says watchlist screening is an integration with ComplyAdvantage and requires a ComplyAdvantage account and credentials. Jumio provides the orchestration and workflow, while the named screening provider remains a separate product and data owner.

Jumio acquired Beam Solutions' AML assets in 2020, including transaction monitoring and case management, but current integration documentation and product navigation reviewed here do not provide a current transaction-ingestion or investigation API. Historical Beam materials are therefore not used to claim a current Jumio transaction-monitoring, full AML case-management, or KYB product.

Products in this module
Identity and Document Verification: Government-ID, document, selfie, liveness, authentication, age, and related verification workflows through the current Jumio platform.
Watchlist Screening: Sanctions, PEP, and configured watchlist checks delivered through Jumio's ComplyAdvantage integration, available with IDV or from prepared person data.
Ongoing Screening: Recurring screening and alerts for changes in the configured sanctions, PEP, watchlist, or adverse-media data rather than analysis of customer financial transactions.
Gaming Verification Workflows: Casino and sportsbook player identity, age, address, AML-screening, fraud, and account-authentication use cases assembled from the verified platform capabilities.

Integration: Jumio supports REST APIs, web and mobile SDKs, and a hosted web client for identity workflows. Watchlist screening can be included in an IDV workflow or called with prepared person data, but the current setup documentation requires a separate ComplyAdvantage account and credentials.

Delivery options

API
Delivery model

API, SDK, and hosted-flow delivery for contracted identity capabilities, with optional standalone or bundled watchlist screening through ComplyAdvantage.

Included

  • + Contracted identity, document, selfie, liveness, or age checks
  • + Watchlist screening when configured with ComplyAdvantage
  • + Standalone prepared-data screening or screening in an IDV workflow
  • + Configured platform results and portal review

Not included

  • ! A current verified AML transaction-monitoring product
  • ! A current verified full transaction-alert case-management product
  • ! A current verified full KYB registry and UBO product
  • ! Ownership of ComplyAdvantage screening technology or data
  • ! Gambling license or public allocation of final operator decisions
Best for: Operators that need player identity and age verification with optional watchlist screening and that already have separate transaction-monitoring, AML case-management, and corporate KYB systems where required.
Strengths
  • + Current documentation supports both bundled and standalone watchlist-screening flows.
  • + The portal setup guide names the external ComplyAdvantage dependency instead of leaving the AML data layer implicit.
  • + The gaming page maps identity, age, screening, and authentication to casino and sportsbook workflows without requiring an unsupported platform claim.
What to verify in procurement
  • ! The customer needs a separate ComplyAdvantage account for the documented watchlist configuration, so licensing, data use, support, and commercial allocation must be checked across both providers.
  • ! Do not use the 2020 Beam acquisition alone as evidence that transaction monitoring or full AML case management remains a current standalone Jumio product.
  • ! Do not infer full KYB from merchant onboarding references; a current Jumio case study explicitly identifies the customer's own eKYB system.
  • ! No vendor accuracy, speed, coverage, customer, conversion, or market-share claim is carried into this reviewed module.

  • JumioVendorchecked 2026-07-11The June 18, 2026 terms identify Jumio Corporation and define current services around identity, ID, document verification, authentication, and related services.
  • JumioVendorchecked 2026-07-11The March 10, 2026 notice identifies Jumio Corporation for online verification services and says Jumio can act as controller for some processing and as processor or service provider for certain customers or laws.
  • Jumio DocumentationVendorchecked 2026-07-11Current platform documentation covers identity-verification workflows through web and mobile SDKs, a hosted web client, and REST APIs.
  • Jumio DocumentationVendorchecked 2026-07-11The current watchlist capability screens sanctions, watchlists, and PEPs and can run with IDV or as a standalone service using prepared person data.
  • Jumio DocumentationVendorchecked 2026-07-11Current portal documentation says watchlist screening is provided through a ComplyAdvantage integration and requires an existing ComplyAdvantage account and API credentials.
  • JumioVendorchecked 2026-07-11The current screening page covers sanctions, PEP, adverse-media, ongoing screening, alerts, audit history, and screening-result case handling through portal or API. Its FAQ distinguishes this from transaction monitoring.
  • JumioVendorchecked 2026-07-11The September 2020 announcement records Jumio's asset acquisition of Beam Solutions' AML platform, including transaction monitoring and case management. It is historical provenance, not by itself proof that those products remain in the current catalog.
  • JumioVendorchecked 2026-07-11The current case study explicitly distinguishes Jumio eKYC from Wonder's own proprietary eKYB platform, so it does not support a Jumio-owned full KYB claim.
  • JumioVendorchecked 2026-07-11The current gaming page documents player identity, document, selfie, age, address, AML screening, and fraud workflows for casinos and sportsbooks.
