Editorial Policy
The directory is useful only if a buyer can tell where a fact came from, what was checked and where uncertainty remains.
Rankings are not for sale
A provider cannot pay to receive a rank, editor pick or more favorable review. Advertising and sponsorship do not change eligibility, scoring, watchouts or editorial order.
Any paid placement must be labeled as sponsored and displayed outside the numbered editorial ranking.
Claims and sources
Regulator records and corporate filings carry more weight than company marketing. A company claim can be included when it is useful, but it is labeled as vendor reported unless another source confirms it.
Conflicting figures are not silently merged. The page should explain the conflict, the date and the scope of each value.
Provider participation
Providers may submit factual corrections, current product documents and source links. They do not receive copy approval and cannot require the removal of a supported watchout as a condition of participation.
Updates and corrections
Material corrections are applied to the page and recorded in the research data. A correction request must identify the exact statement and provide evidence that can be checked independently.
